StarCraft improved upon its predecessor Warcraft II, which featured two very similar playable factions, by introducing asymmetry concerning the models and systems available to its three races (Protoss, Terran, and Zerg). This asymmetry was similar to that pioneered in the lesser-recognised 1996 SSI launch War Wind. The unit varieties available to each race determine its racial identification. The Protoss can discipline potent and costly warriors and equipment, when the Zerg rely on sheer numbers and velocity to overwhelm their opponents.
In Legacy in 헬스케어 the Void, Zeratul invades a Terran installation beneath control of Amon as a way to pinpoint the exact place of his resurrection, Benefiting from a sudden attack by Kerrigan and the Zerg swarm. Zeratul returns to warn Artanis of Amon's return, but he decides to carry on along with his options of foremost his army to reclaim Aiur. Amon awakens on Aiur and requires control of the majority of the Protoss race in the Khala, the telepathic bond that unites all feelings to the Khalai faction in the Protoss.
